Why Do You Think Good Academic Grades Guarantee a Successful Life?

It is usually believed that achieving good academic grades is a key to success but that's not 100% true. There are a large number of people that have got low grades in their academic life but they are the most successful.MOST educators and parents focus on making sure their children obtain good scores in school tests or major exams.

Attaining high grades, is seen as the “passport” to high-paying jobs and future success.
This is a statement of fact for there is no one who would want to hire someone without knowledge, skills and competence in the work place.

Successful People Who Didn't Get Good Grades in School

Let me point out that there are more successful people and self-made millionaires who did not earn good grades or grade point average (GPAs) in their studies.A study showed that 41% of the self-made millionaires were ‘B’ students, 29% were ‘C’ students and 21% were ‘A’ students. The study also stated that 59% of the millionaires came from middle-class families while the rest were not from under-privileged backgrounds.
More successful people have not always been A students. Who or where you are from in terms of one’s background or status, does not determine who you will be.
Some of the most successful people in the world dropped out of school, including Walt Disney, Elton John, James Cameron, Frank Lloyd Wright, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs.
A GPA does not measure a person’s ability to think outside of the box and solve problems. It does not measure a person’s emotional intelligence nor does it look at a person’s leadership ability.
I studied everything but never topped… But today the toppers of the best universities are my employees.

However, Diaz didn’t have the greatest schooling experience and dropped out at the age of 16 to pursue a modeling career.
Diaz’ 2011 Bad Teacher and 2014’s The Other Women both surprised at the box office, making roughly $200 million with a low budget and little marketing, landing her on Forbes’ Top Earning Actresses list and proving that more than 20 years later  she still has incredible star power.

2. Al Gore

Albert Arnold Gore Jr. (born March 31, 1948) is an American politician and environmentalist who served as the 45th vice president of the United States from 1993 to 2001.Believe it or not,  Al Gore didn’t do so well in college, finishing in the bottom 20 percent of his class with Cs and Ds.
Among those low marks, he even received a D in natural sciences, a bit ironic for someone who would go on to dedicate his time to increasing awareness of climate change.

3. Drew Barrymore

Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22, 1975) is an American actress, producer, director, author, model, and entrepreneur. She achieved fame as a child actress with her role in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), entering rehab at just 13 and dropping out of school shortly after.
However, despite this, she went on to become one of the most well-known actresses in Hollywood and later launched a film production company that has produced films such as Donnie Darko and 50 First Dates.

4. Richard Branson

Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson (born 18 July 1950) is a British business magnate, investor, author and philanthropistRichard Branson is perhaps the most well-known dropout in recent history, leaving school at the age of 16 to start a magazine called Student.
“On one of my last days at school, the headmaster told me that I would either end up in prison or become a millionaire,” he said.
Branson would go on to found Virgin Records, which would later expand into Virgin Group, an amalgamation of hundreds of companies all over the world, including Virgin Atlantic Airlines, worth roughly $6 billion.

5. Benedict Cumberbatch

It turns out even Dr. Strange didn’t get the greatest grades. In his defense, he started out with great promise. However, as the years went on, the pressure was too great for Cumberbatch and his marks began to slip.In an interview with Metro, Cumberbatch said,
“adolescence came late and I discovered girls, pot, and all sorts of other things, so I got a bit lazy. That stagnated my growth a bit as far as being academic.”

Cumberbatch went on to become one of the most well-respected actors in Hollywood, earning both Golden Globe and Oscar nominations.
The qualities are just as important to an individual’s success in life and almost none of them are measured by grades.

Without Hard Work Nothing Can be Achieved

All successful people are always ambitious to their goals.I am not saying You to conclude from this article that we should not study or leave everything and sit free.I am saying if you don't like studies then go to the field in which you are interested.Grades, GPAs and standardized test scores largely measure one’s ability to answer questions and regurgitate information and not much else. This is why our world isn’t run by valedictorians and straight A students. For every CEO of a major company that graduated with a 4.0 GPA, there are scores more who did not.

Conclusion

To achieve something successful, you need to work for it. It is loaded with entanglements, impediments, disappointments, and oversights.Achievements require consistency, and mental and emotional toughness, in defeating these entanglements.
Successful individuals are good at postponing satisfaction. They are capable of holding temptation and overcoming fear in order to do what they need to do. They are bold and brave.
Such qualities require mental strength and toughness, so it’s no coincidence these are some of the traits of successful people.

Successful people go for lifelong learning, they never try to stop learning and getting all the knowledge needed.
Just because you were once a ‘C’ or ‘D’ student does not necessarily mean you will be that way forever.
Your IQ can change, but you are the one who needs to change that.
Successful people will definitely not sit idle, they think out of the box and come out with unique concepts and innovations
